How RAMSynapse collects, uses and protects information.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

01

Who we are

RAMSynapse is the connected RAMS engineering platform — reliability, risk, safety, maintainability and field monitoring on one shared system model. This website, ramsynapse.com, is the marketing and information site for the platform: it describes the product, hosts articles and documentation, and lets you get in touch with us.

This policy explains what information this website handles, why, and what choices you have. If you have any question it does not answer, write to us at feedback@ramsynapse.com.

02

Scope

This policy covers the ramsynapse.com website only. It does not cover the RAMSynapse product itself.

RAMSynapse is delivered on premise: the platform runs entirely inside your own infrastructure, and no engineering data, system models or analysis results are processed on our servers. Data handling for the product is governed by the customer agreement concluded between your organisation and us, not by this policy.

03

Information we collect

We collect only what the website needs to function:

  • Contact-form submissions. Your message, plus a name and email address if you choose to provide them — both are optional. Without an email address we simply cannot reply.
  • Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical logs: IP address, user agent and request timestamps. These are used for operating and securing the site, not for profiling.
  • Theme preference. Your light/dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
  • Account sign-in data. If you create an account on this site, we store the email address you sign in with.

We do not ask for, and do not want, any more personal data than this.

04

What we use it for

We use the information above for four purposes:

  • Answering the messages you send us, including walkthrough requests and investor enquiries.
  • Operating the website and keeping it available.
  • Securing the site — detecting abuse, diagnosing faults and investigating incidents using the server logs.
  • Improving our content, based on the questions and feedback we receive.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.

06

Cookies & local storage

This site uses no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies. The only browser storage we use is functional:

  • A localStorage entry that remembers your theme preference (light or dark).
  • Session cookies that keep you signed in if you have created an account. These exist only to make sign-in work.

Because none of this storage is used for tracking, there is no cookie-consent banner to click through — there is simply nothing to consent to.

07

Sharing & processors

We share data with only two categories of service provider, and only to the extent needed to run the site:

  • Our hosting and deployment provider, which serves the website and therefore processes the technical logs described above.
  • Our email delivery provider, which carries the messages you send us and our replies.

Both act as processors bound by their own data-processing agreements. We never sell personal data, and we never pass it to third parties for marketing.

08

Retention

Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, after which they are deleted. If a conversation leads to a commercial relationship, related correspondence may be kept as part of that relationship.

Server logs are rotated on a short cycle and are not archived beyond what routine security operation requires.

09

Security

All traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted in transit using TLS. Internally, access to messages and account data follows a least-access principle: only the people who need to handle your enquiry can read it.

No website can promise absolute security, but we deliberately keep the amount of personal data on this site small — the best protection for data is not to collect it in the first place.

10

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict its processing. We honour these requests for all visitors regardless of jurisdiction.

To exercise any of these rights, email feedback@ramsynapse.com. We will respond as quickly as we can, and in any case within the timeframes required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

11

International transfers

Our hosting and email providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards in our agreements with those processors, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms they provide. The on-premise product is unaffected: your engineering data stays in your infrastructure.

12

Children

This website is a professional engineering resource and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the website’s data handling changes — for example, if we add new functionality that collects new information. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than applied silently.

14

Contact
